Peer Mediator Big Day Out 2013

Nikita, Chantalle and Jemma went to the Peer Mediator Big Day Out today at Opawa School. It was a great chance to meet and talk with other Peer Mediators. We heard how they run their programmes and picked up a few great ideas. We also got some cool resources and even a t-shirt!

Cartooning

This week we have started a cartooning unit in Room 8. We are learning the best techniques to use when drawing cartoons. Today we each attempted to draw a hippo and a cat. The website below gives a step-by-step process on how to draw some of your favourite animals. GIVE IT A GO :)

Student Led Conferences

Every second Monday we are lucky enough to be able to do buddy reading with Room 16. We listen to the students read and then we often get to read to them.

Technology

Every Monday the Year 7 & 8s go to Technology at Hillmorton High School. Currently our two groups are doing Woodwork and Sewing. Here are some of photos of out Technology programme:

Shared lunch

Thanks to all families who contributed to our class lunch last week - we all really enjoyed it :) I was impressed with how considerate and helpful the students were.
